End-User License Agreement
Last updated: 2026-06-10
This End-User License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal contract between you (the "User") and Vestige opti ("Vestige", "we") governing your use of the Vestige opti desktop application (the "Software"). By installing, activating, or using the Software you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software, and request a refund within the window described in our Refund Policy.
Plain English summary. You buy one license, you can use the Software on one PC at a time, you can move it between PCs by contacting support, you don't own the source code, you can't redistribute the Software, and if it breaks your machine you're not entitled to consequential damages — but we will refund within 30 days and we'll help you roll the changes back.
1. License grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of the applicable fee, Vestige grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one (1) copy of the Software on the number of personal computers ("Devices") specified on your purchase confirmation (default: one Device per license).
2. What you may do
- Install and run the Software on the licensed Device(s) for personal use.
- Use the Software's tweaks, presets, and analysis features on PCs you own or have explicit administrator authorization for.
- Create backups of your own settings as part of normal use of the Software.
- Move your license to a new Device by emailing support@vestigeopti.com and requesting that the old hardware fingerprint be unbound. There is no charge for this.
3. What you may not do
- You may not share, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your license key to any third party. License keys are issued per User and are not stackable.
- You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this limitation, and only after providing written notice to us.
- You may not redistribute the Software binary, in whole or in part.
- You may not use the Software to violate, evade, or interfere with any anti-cheat system, game publisher policy, terms of service, or criminal law.
- You may not use the Software in connection with malware, botnets, click fraud, or any unauthorized access to computer systems.
- You may not remove or alter any proprietary notice, copyright, trademark, or branding inside the Software.
4. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Vestige retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights therein. The Software, including any updates, is protected by U.S. copyright law and international treaty provisions.
5. Updates
Vestige may, from time to time, make updates available for the Software at no additional cost. Updates may include new features, bug fixes, compatibility patches, or revisions to which Windows tweaks the Software will apply (for example, to keep pace with anti-cheat or driver updates). Updates are governed by this same Agreement unless a new agreement accompanies them.
6. Activation and validation
The Software requires online activation against the Vestige licensing service at first launch. Subsequent launches re-validate the license periodically (approximately every 30 minutes while running). If the licensing server is unreachable, the Software continues to function for a grace period of 24 hours before requiring online re-validation.
The Software collects a hardware fingerprint hash as described in our Privacy Policy. By activating you consent to that limited collection.
7. Revocation
Vestige may revoke a license without refund if it has reasonable evidence of:
- Material breach of this Agreement (especially Section 3).
- Chargeback or payment reversal of the original purchase.
- Coordinated abuse, account sharing across unrelated users, or circumvention of the per-Device cap.
- Use of the Software for unlawful purposes.
Where the breach is unintentional and reversible (e.g., a family member accidentally activated on a friend's PC), we'll work it out with you before revoking.
8. Disclaimer of warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. VESTIGE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PARTICULAR HARDWARE, DRIVER, OR GAME.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above may not apply to you in full. In that case, any required implied warranty is limited to thirty (30) days from purchase.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VESTIGE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST GAME PROGRESS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR HARDWARE DAMAGE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, AND EVEN IF VESTIGE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Vestige's total cumulative liability under this Agreement is capped at the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Anti-cheat and game-publisher policies
The Software is engineered to avoid changes that any well-known kernel-level anti-cheat is known to flag as of the build date (Vanguard, Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye, FACEIT, Hyperion, Ricochet, and similar). However, game publishers update their anti-cheat policies independently of Vestige, and we cannot guarantee against future changes on their side. If a publisher flags a tweak in a future update, Vestige will remove that tweak in the next Software release.
11. Open-source components
The Software incorporates open-source libraries under their respective licenses, including but not limited to:
- Bouncy Castle Cryptography (MIT-style license)
- System.Management (.NET Foundation, MIT)
A full list and the corresponding license texts are available on request to support@vestigeopti.com.
12. Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach any term. Upon termination, you must stop using and uninstall the Software. Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14 survive termination.
13. Governing law and venue
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Tennessee. You waive any objection to venue based on inconvenience.
14. Miscellaneous
This is the entire agreement between you and Vestige regarding the Software, superseding any prior or contemporaneous oral or written communications. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Vestige's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this Agreement; Vestige may.
